Every summer, DREAM’s intensive Summer Camp Program helps students from vulnerable communities in the Dominican Republic stay engaged in learning while school is out. By combining academic enrichment with creativity, sports, and life skills development, the program ensures that children return to school confident, motivated, and ready to succeed.

Through this collaboration with ASEDOM, supporters have the opportunity to help expand access to this transformative experience for even more students.

DREAM’s summer camps are designed to strengthen educational retention for at-risk students during the summer months, when many children are most vulnerable to learning loss. The camps run for four weeks and operate as half-day programs, providing a structured and engaging environment, where students can grow academically, socially, and creatively. Students participate in a variety of activities that reinforce classroom learning while encouraging exploration and self-expression, which help children strengthen academic, socio-emotional, and civic skills, fostering independent learning and confidence. Core themes include: reading and literacy development, critical thinking, music and rhythm, art and creativity, sports and physical activity, nature exploration, and life skills and teamwork.

Summer Camp goes beyond traditional academic learning. Students also participate in extracurricular activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence-building. As the program grows, DREAM aims to reach more students across multiple communities, ensuring that children who need support the most have access to meaningful summer learning opportunities.

With the support of partners, like Baruch College and ASEDOM, DREAM continues to expand the program’s reach and impact.
