“The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child’s own natural desire to learn.”

- Maria Montessori

Montessori Academy

DREAM started its first preschool in 2004, and the Montessori Academy launched in 2007 with the inauguration of the DREAM Center in Cabarete.

The Montessori Method focuses on alternative educational opportunities based on childhood development theories for children ages two to seven. Children are free to explore their intelligence while socially developing. Our program allows children to grow and develop at their own pace while encouraging play and exploration in a safe learning environment. Teachers act as guides who promote and enable students to be independent, taking ownership of their development.

The core values of the Montessori Method include:

Respect

Children are respected as different from adults and as individuals who are different from one another.

Understanding

Children possess the ability to understand and learn from their environment.

Attention

The first six years of the life of a child are the most important to their development. Our dedicated staff facilitate classes with a student-teacher ratio of 12 : 1.

Montessori Preschools

DREAM Montessori preschools are not a place where the teacher transmits knowledge, but rather they are a place where a child’s intelligence and psychological well-being progress simultaneously by means of a free work space and respect for their integrity and dignity.

STEAM Classroom

STEAM is the weaving of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics into daily learning objectives to promote critical thinking through the scientific method and support curricular instruction. With this methodology, students are taught to find and create meaningful, purposeful connections in order to build on important competencies, like problem-solving, creativity and group work, all while harnessing the use of technology to boost education.

Why Early Childhood Education?

Learning begins at birth. From the time they are born, children learn by imitating the behavior of others, developing socially, emotionally and academically. Early Childhood Education lays the foundation for a child’s development and the importance they place on education. In addition to the in-classroom experience, educators help parents identify student needs and actively participate in their education by training them on dynamic methodologies they can use at home. Education helps students from at-risk and marginalized communities grow.
