Cabarete, Puerto Plata – DREAM Project and JustUsedTech have signed a collaborative agreement to advance educational innovation and technological sustainability in the communities of Callejón de la Loma and La Ciénaga. This new partnership will equip STEAM classrooms with refurbished technology devices while promoting responsible practices and early digital learning for early childhood and primary school students.

The collaboration will expand hands-on learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics for more than 580 children, strengthening the development of critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills from an early age.

As part of the support, JustUsedTech will donate refurbished laptops and other equipment, in addition to providing technical assistance for installation and maintenance. The initiative will be complemented by interactive technology workshops and training sessions for DREAM teachers, focused on the safe and sustainable use of digital tools.

Both organizations share a vision of bringing technology closer to communities with limited access, reducing the educational gap, and promoting a circular economy model that extends the lifespan of electronic devices and reduces the environmental impact of e-waste.

The partnership will run for an initial period of one year with the possibility of renewal and will include learning impact and student engagement assessments through DREAM’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning system.
