The 10th edition of our Annual Benefit and awards, Sueños 2022, took place last Thursday, May 5, at Lavan 541, Chelsea, New York City. Celebrities, philanthropists, educators, and 200 guests who support DREAM's mission to provide high-quality education to children, youth, and families in the Dominican Republic gathered to celebrate our positive transformations. Guests enjoyed gourmet Dominican hors d'oeuvre and special Brugal 1888 cocktails.

Congressman Adriano Espaillat presented The DREAMer of the Year Award to the NASA Engineer Scarlin Hernández. The red carpet included celebrities and philanthropists, such as, Congressman Adriano Espaillat, Author Angie Cruz, Musician Doug Wimbish, Singer Amara La Negra, Actor Harry Geinthner and many more.

​“I feel very honored to be able to be part of the DREAM Project, which supports education and especially music.” I will continue to support them in whatever they need because I know how important education is for children and youth to help them achieve their DREAMs. Everything starts with education and with the support of our parents, thanks to that today I am "Amara La Negra, ” expressed Amara La Negra.

Jonathan Wunderlich, DREAM Project’s Development Director said “This amazing evening always allows our global community to pan out from a small Dominican town, higher and higher until we see the entire world and the impact the Dominican Republic has on it. Sueños is extra unique; it pulls us all together, artists, educators, and professionals from all walks of life, into a beautiful space where we all remember that everyone deserves a high-quality education and opportunity.

100% proceeds from the event will go directly towards DREAM’s programs, impacting more than 6,500 Dominican children and youth in 15 different communities.
